The most visible muscles of the shoulders are the delts which consistent of 3 areas: the front, lateral, and posterior. Each part of the delt won’t be isolated exclusively but you can bias it more based on the exercise.
Front delts consists of pressing motions
- DB bench press

- DB lateral raise
- Barbell rows
Posterior delts
- Reverse db fly
- Face pulls
- Barbell rows
The underlying muscles of the shoulder are the rotator cuff muscles which are the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis. While these aren’t aesthetic muscles, they are important for the health of your shoulder to stablize, elevate, and rotate the arm.
